Wordless Wednesday: Victory!

90% of donations to the Obama/Biden campaign were less than $50. Just sayin’ I think that’s really cool that real people were invested in their country’s future, not just Super-PACS like on the other side.

I am not outspoken about my political beliefs on Me, Mothering, and Making it All Work, because I dislike the mud-slinging and really negative and hateful conversations that come out of opening up the political discussion. But I have to post the following screen shot today to show my support for all of you grass roots supporters like me out there who stepped up and donated what you could to make sure that the truth about our President would reach those who hadn’t yet made a decision about their vote.

I think it’s really neat that President Obama and Vice President Biden and their whole staff led a grass roots campaign in which 90% of gifts were $50 or less. Real, hard-working (possibly struggling) Americans stepped up and had pride in their feelings about their country. Truly cool.

And to my Republican friends, please do not take this as an attack. I am truly joyful that our President has another term in office, and I look forward to moving FORWARD, with everyone, Republican, Democrat, Undecided, Green Party, Libertarian, and even totally apathetic friends joining hands and hearts to solve the problems that we face. My Republican friends, I want you to know that I love you.

But I think it’s awesome that President Obama has another term, and it’s even more awesome that real people like you and me made that happen. Super cool. Just sayin.
